He holds a PhD in Law from the Institute of Legal Research of the Autonomous University of Chiapas and is a fellow of the National Council of Science and Technology. He holds a specialist degree in matrimonial law and canonical procedure from the University of Navarra in Spain. He holds a Master's degree in Criminal, Adversarial, and Oral Procedural Law from the University of Sonora and a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Sonora.

He is a member of the National System of Researchers, Level 1, of CONAHCYT (National Council of Science, Technology, and Innovation), and a member of the State System of Researchers, category II - Scientific or Technological Researcher, Level I, with a Master's degree from the Institute of Science, Technology, and Innovation of the State of Chiapas, and recognition for a desirable profile awarded by the Ministry of Public Education.

He has completed various research stays, the most notable of which include the Faculty of Law at the Complutense University of Madrid, the Faculty of Jurisprudence at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia, and the Central Institute of Pedagogical Sciences in Havana, Cuba. He is also a Full-Time Professor-Researcher at the University of Sonora and collaborates as a Professor-Researcher for the Bachelor of Law program offered by the Institute of Legal Research at the Autonomous University of Chiapas.

He has presented various papers and participated in national and international conferences in the fields of ecclesiastical law, criminal procedure, and human rights. He has also published more than a dozen academic articles and book chapters in prestigious academic repositories.
