Abstract

The Kikuchi-Fujimoto diseases (KFD), also known as histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenitis was described in 1972 by Kikuchi and Fujimoto. Is a rare disease of unknown etiology that involve main cervical lymph nodes, the evolution is benign and self-limited; during pediatrics ages is most frequently in scholars and adolescents, also in young adults. The signs and symptoms are: fever, headache, fatigue should be differentiated of neoplastic and infections, the diagnoses are by histopathology and the treatment is symptomatic. In this paper we described the evolution and following of a preschooler girl whit KFD.
