The aim of this study was to evaluate the interaction of silver nanoparticles synthesized with Rumex hymenosepalus ethanol extract on the structure and function of the rat skeletal muscle. Male Wistar rats were used for the experiments, which received single a dose of silver nanoparticles (1 mg/kg) by intramuscular route. After three and seven post-administration days, the interaction of silver nanoparticles in soleus and plantaris muscles through of histological analysis and mechanical properties records was evaluated. The histological examination revealed the absence of inflammation and normal structural arrangements for both muscles after 3 and 7 days of the administration of green silver nanoparticles. In addition, the nanoparticles improved differentially the functionality Copyright: of the soleus and plantaris muscles in the development of maximal force and fatigue resistance.
