N2 - The use of optical heterodyne technique to measure the reflection coefficient of antennas is experimentally demonstrated. Measurements are achieved in the frequency range of 0 to 3 GHz. A microwave signal generated by optical heterodyne technique is applied to the antennas under test. Results obtained by this photonic technique are validated with those obtained by conventional electrical techniques.
