Abstract
This article proposes a strategy for the refinement of an automatic grouping algorithm belonging to the preventive medicine area of a Public Health Institution to improve the detection of diabetic patients. In particular, a strategy is presented to increase the generation of knowledge through the use of data mining techniques, in which it is proposed to add variables that allow a better description of the group of patients to improve the accuracy of the algorithm.
