Selective Data Recovery of an Optical Communication Link Using an Optical Band-Pass Filter

Abstract

This paper describes a novel electro-optical setup to recover data from an optical communication link of two different information sources using an optical band-pass filter. This optical communication system is based on the external modulation technique and is validated at the simulation level using VPlphotonics Software by transmitting digital data. A binary data sequence in NRZ format is used to validate this proposal. The obtained simulation results allow assuring a high degree of success to use this approach in an experimental way for the digital distribution of data.
