Stokes shift of the F center electronic transitions in mixed ionic crystals

Abstract

Stokes shift in F-band of additively coloured KCl(1-x)Brx mixed crystals was studied both experimental and theoretically. A maximum shift in x = 0 3 was obtained, indicating that a strong electron-phonon interaction takes place at this particular composition.
