Resumen
A concentrate with a high content of tellurium (5% Te) was pretreated by acid leaching to dissolve this metal. Afterwards the residue was treated by cyanidation. It was found that the pretreatment affects significantly the precious metal extraction. In this case gold extraction increased from 66% to 95%.
