Resumen

Suicide is a phenomenon that occurs worldwide, affecting people of almost all ages, where more and more adolescents are affected, impacting at the same time their family, friends, and even the society that surrounds them. Therefore, the general objective of the study is to identify the main risk factors associated with suicidal behavior in young people aged 13 to 18 years in the community of Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico. A mixed study was conducted, a battery of psychological tests was used on 120 secondary and high school students, as well as interviews to corroborate the results. For the data analysis, the statistical program SPSS version 21.0 and a discourse analysis were used. The results show a Cronbach's Alpha .83 indicating a high index of reliability, mean, median, mode, standard deviation and correlations were obtained. The results indicate that the psychosocial factors that are occurring in the study population are dysfunctional families, causing depression and low self-esteem. The model explains 41% suicidal behavior. It is proposed to design strategies of socio-educational inclusion for the application in schools, this being a great influence in the training of young people.
